There are mutual benefits for colleges and businesses to work closely together to provide real-world student experiences and opportunities to recruit outstanding students for internships, co-ops, and full-time employment. BGSU’s College of Business has added another dedicated business partner for future projects and job recruitment: The Scotts Company, headquartered in Marysville, Ohio. A large contingency of College faculty members recently traveled outside of Columbus to The Scotts Company for a day filled with business presentations, discussions, and facility tours.

The morning opened with a welcome from BGSU alum, Barry Sanders (‘87), Scotts’ executive vice president of North America. In fact, several of the company’s senior managers are BGSU alums.
