AMIS Scholarships Criteria
Norma Dirmeyer Bibler

Accounting major who is completing their sophomore year or have equivalent junior standing, with a 3.2 or above GPA.

Construction Financial Management Association

Full-time accounting major.
Strauss-Watson

Accounting major, with preference given to non-traditional students.

Kevin L. Ross

Rising sophomore, junior or senior.  Preference to accounting major. 3.25 or above GPA. Most needy student after all criteria have been met should be recipient. Preference to member of Pi Kappa Phi after other criteria have been met.

J.W. Parker (Ernst & Young)

Full-time accounting major.

Julien and Annette Faisant

Junior or senior in AMIS Department. Record of academic excellence.  Preference to a student planning a career in accounting. Preference may be shown to students from the greater Findlay area.

Crowe, Chizek and Company LLP

Rising senior specializing in MIS with a 3.3 or better GPA in major and overall.  Exhibits leadership skills and authorized to work in the U.S. on an unlimited permanent basis.

Mary Jane Little Dorais

Incoming freshman or rising sophomore, junior or senior in a specialization in the Department of Accounting/MIS or Finance, with a 3.0 or above GPA.

R.A. Whaley (Ernst & Young)

Full-time accounting major.

William J. Primrose 2 scholarships given annually. Accounting major.  Unusual talent and aptitude for future achievement in accounting.  Academic record consistent with goals in higher education. Preferably a resident of the greater Cleveland area. Junior or Senior.

Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC

Full-time accounting major.

Full-time accounting major.

David K. Kobel Memorial

Accounting or MIS major with a 2.75 or above GPA.  Preference given to a graduate of Coshocton High School or who lives within Coshocton County. If no one from Coshocton High School or Coshocton County, scholarship will be given to any student from Ohio in Accounting/MIS with a GPA of 3.25 or above.  Must have demonstrated financial need. Renewable for 2 years. Option to divide between 2 recipients.

The Parks Scholarship

3.0 or above GPA. Applicants should indicate and briefly explain financial need. Preference given to a "legacy"-parents, grandparents, or other family member graduated from BGSU; highest preference given to accounting graduates.

Park and Marilyn Leathers Scholarship

Full-time accounting major.

Clarence & Sally Metzger

Accounting major, 3.0 GPA or above.  Financial need is a consideration in the selection of the recipient. Students athletes, cheerleaders, mascots, and athletic team managers or trainers are given preference.  The Scholarship may be renewed for up to four years if the recipient meets the Scholarship's criteria, but the recipient must reapply for the Scholarship each year.

Alyce & Michael Scherzer

Accounting major.  Junior or senior. Academic record consistent with goals in higher education for accounting majors and should give evidence of future achievement in accounting.  Displayable interest in participation in community civic activities.
