FACULTY POSITION OPEN AUGUST 2012

QUALIFICATIONS
Tenure-track assistant/associate professor of Business Analytics position starting August 2012. This is a new position created to support the College’s strategic direction to pursue program development in business analytics and intelligence developed jointly by the Department of Applied Statistics and Operations Research and the Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems.

Doctoral degree in Statistics, MIS, Management Science/Operations Research or a closely related field is required by the starting date. Candidates must have a primary research interest in developing analytic tools relevant to business and an interest in collaboration with other College of Business Administration colleagues in finding solutions to business problems. Successful candidate is expected to have a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research. Teaching responsibilities will depend on the candidate’s field of specialization and may include courses in Statistics, Management Science or MIS to undergraduate and graduate students in business administration as well as in applied statistics. Specific research interest and experience in areas such as data mining, business analytics and intelligence is highly desirable. More information at www.business.bgsu.edu/asor/.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Expected to teach at both graduate/undergraduate levels, and develop an active research agenda. Externally supported research/application oriented program/project development is desirable. University/professional service is also expected.

Compensation for the academic year will be competitive and includes a full benefit package.
