College-Wide Scholarships

Thanks to generous alumni and friends of the College and its students, many College-wide scholarships are available. To be considered for 2009-10 College-wide scholarships, CBA students apply beginning in January and, except as noted in the table below, must have a minimum 3.0 BGSU GPA, junior or senior standing by the end of Spring 2009, and enroll for classes for the 2009-10 academic year (beginning Fall 2009).

Paul T. Albers Scholarship an undergraduate majoring in business administration; community service; minimum 3.0 GPA; preference to students from Ft. Laramie High School, New Bremen High School or any other Auglaize County high school
William L. Allen Scholarship major in business administration; minimum 3.0 GPA; demonstrate financial need; a junior or senior next academic year
Michael R. & Mary Lee McGranaghan Business Administration Scholarship an undergraduate majoring in business administration
Carl Peschel Nontraditional Student Scholarship non-traditional undergraduate student; minimum 2.5 GPA; Accounting, MIS and Economics specializations; financial need
Marta Rubcich Endowment an undergraduate majoring in business administration
John T. Weisenbach Memorial Scholarship major in the business administration; minimum 2.5 GPA; preference to students in fraternity or sorority; a sophomore, junior, or senior next academic year

Harshman-Cheek Scholarship

major in business administration; minimum 3.0 GPA; financial need; demonstrated good character and leadership qualities; a junior next academic year

Sakthivel Scholarship

major in business administration; full-time student; evidence of financial need; minimum GPA of 2.75; cannot receive any other scholarships; a junior next academic year

Thomas and Linda Bockbrader Scholarship minimum 3.5 GPA, strong history of community service, extracurricular involvement, or working while attending school, full-time student, preference given to students specializing in Accounting, a junior or senior next academic year

Janet Essex Babcock Scholarship

 

an undergraduate business student with preference given to students specializing in Accounting or MIS; student in good academic standing; full-time student; preference to students from NW Ohio; preference to child of a cancer victim or single parent; statement of academic and career intentions needed

Arthur Andersen Scholarship

an undergraduate business student majoring in business administration; specialization in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Information Systems Auditing & Control, Management Information Systems, or Marketing; minimum 3.0 GPA; full-time student

Edgar T. Emerson Scholarship academic achievement; minimum 3.0 GPA; involvement in campus and/or community activities; a junior or senior next academic year

Everett E. Gallagher Scholarship

minimum 3.5 GPA; preference to students in Accounting and particularly to students from Ross County; involvement in extracurricular activities, particularly in a fraternity or sorority; a junior or senior next academic year
Mearl and Lolita Guthrie Consumer Economics Scholarship academic achievement; minimum 3.0 GPA; involvement in campus and/or community activities; a junior or senior next academic year
Herbert R. Hipp International Business Scholarship demonstrated interest in international business; minimum 3.0 GPA; a junior or senior next academic year
Nancy K. Lahmers Scholarship leadership in campus or community activities; minimum 3.0 GPA; academic excellence; a junior or senior next academic year
Bart James Latessa Memorial Scholarship academic excellence; preference given to students from middle-income families; student in good academic standing; a sophomore, junior, or senior next academic year
Lewis F. Manhart - Perry E. Lanning Scholarship major in business administration and admitted to the BSBA degree; minimum 3.50 GPA; leadership potential; good character; full-time student; statement of academic and career intentions needed; a junior or senior next academic year
Stacey Mott Memorial Scholarship academic achievement; minimum 3.0 GPA; involvement in campus and/or community activities; a junior or senior next academic year

Rager-Spreng Scholarship

U.S. citizen; financial need; preference to Ohio residents; minimum 3.0 GPA; potential for leadership in business; a junior or senior next academic year

Rudolph/Libbe Scholarship

 

major in business administration; leadership in campus or community activities; minimum 3.25 GPA; a junior or senior next academic year

Scott Transportation Scholarship

 

preference given to students specializing in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or International Business; demonstrated leadership potential; minimum 3.0 GPA; a junior or senior next academic year
Tracy Lynn Tomko Memorial Scholarship active participation in leadership activities in campus and/or professional organizations; minimum 3.0 GPA; full-time student; a junior or senior next academic year

G.O. Herbert Moorehead, Jr. Scholarship

minimum GPA of 3.0; demonstrated leadership skills on campus and/or the community; preference given to members Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity; full-time student; a junior or senior next academic year

Gilbert W. and Lottie M. Cooke Memorial Scholarship

Leo Dirmeyer Business Scholarship

US Citizenship; residency in Ohio; minimum 3.25 GPA; demonstrated leadership; potential in business;a senior next academic year
William R. Hoskins Scholarship major in business administration with a specialization in International Business; US citizenship; participation in extracurricular activities especially sports and international clubs; minimum 3.0 GPA; interest in international affairs; a senior next academic year
E.C. Powell Scholarship major in business administration; minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; minimum 3.25 specialization GPA; financial need; demonstrate leadership in campus organizations; a senior next academic year

James and Mary Kovac Scholarship

 

 

undergraduate student; U.S. citizenship; major in Business Administration; minimum 2.5 GPA; over the age of 25 or a full-time parent; cannot have completed another undergraduate degree

Mary & Ralph Wolfe Memorial Scholarship

must be Hospitality Management student; must be a full-time student; a sophomore, junior, or senior next academic year

Donald G. and Wilma B. Nicholson Scholarship a rising sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a B.S. degree in business, specializing in accounting, finance or business pre-law
