Entrepreneurship Scholarships

To be considered for 2009-10 Entrepreneurship scholarships, students must meet the class standing (e.g. sophomore, junior, senior) stated in the criteria by the end of Spring 2009 and enroll for BGSU classes for the 2009-10 academic year. Entrepreneurship scholarship applications are being accepted until Friday, February 13, 2009 at 5 p.m. Late applications will not be considered.

Entrepreneur Scholarships

Criteria

The Lewis Becker Fund (Book Scholarship)

 

A sophomore or junior minoring in entrepreneurship, a major in business administration, minimum 3.5 GPA, and demonstrated financial need.

 

David S. and Jill M. Hainline Entrepreneurship Scholarship

A sophomore. junior, or senior minoring in entrepreneurship, minimum 2.65 GPA and demonstrate future promise, demonstrated financial need.

George and Joan Howick Entrepreneurship Scholarship

 

A junior majoring in journalism, biology, or chemistry with a minor in entrepreneurship, demonstrated fidelity to the U.S., demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship.

 

Joan and George Howick Entrepreneurship Scholarship

A junior majoring in art, music, or VCT with a minor in entrepreneurship, demonstrated fidelity to the U.S., demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship.

 

Gary A. Schuetz Entrepreneurial Scholarship

A sophomore, junior, or senior minoring in entrepreneurship, minimum 3.00 GPA, demonstrated that student is working to support educational expenses. Preference given to students from Illinois.

Norman R. Seaman Scholarship

 

 

A junior majoring in business administration, minimum GPA of 2.75, demonstrated leadership in campus, community, or entrepreneurial endeavors, essay on entrepreneurial opportunity required.  Essay guidelines are provided here.

Joseph Frank Ziemianski Entrepreneur Scholarship A sophomore, junior, or senior minoring in entrepreneurship, preference to students working full or part-time to support their educational expenses and/or students who are actively involved in the campus community, an essay on why enrolled in the entrepreneurship minor is required.

Entrepreneurship Graduating Senior of the Year Award

A graduating senior (May, August, or December)

minoring in entrepreneurship, minimum 2.5 GPA, exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit through attitude, academics, and extracurricular activities.  Must be nominated by an entrepreneurship faculty member to apply.
