Logging In/Off

When you use a computer in the CBA you will be required to log on with your own UserID and password.

At the computer you will be presented with a Welcome dialog box like the following picture.

At this point press the Ctrl-Alt-Delete buttons. If you are not sure where these buttons are press the help link and a picture will pop up describing the button locations on the keyboard. The next screen you will see a Security Banner describing the CBA computer lab policy. Review this information before proceding.

After clicking the OK button you will see a login dialog box. Enter the username and password you were given and click the OK button.

Make sure you enter your UserID and password with the CAPS LOCK disabled because your password is case sensitive. Also make sure that the Log on To field is set to CBA.BGSU.EDU.

Once you have entered your UserID and password click OK or press Enter. You will now be logged in and have access to all resources available on the CBA Computer Lab computers.

Important: If you working in the CBA Computer Labs, be sure that you log off when you are finished; otherwise, the next person to use the computer will have access to your account.  You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your user login, so to protect yourself be certain that you always log off the system.

To log off go to the Start Menu on the task bar at the bottom of the screen and select Log Off youruserID...

Next you will see a dialog asking if you are sure you want to log off. Click the Log Off button.
