The program requires 30 semester hours of course work beyond the baccalaureate level. Students that enter the program must already possess the equivalent accounting background as provided in an undergraduate accounting specialization. This would be similar to that found at most colleges of business accredited by the AACSB. Most students pursue a full-time complement of four classes in the fall and spring semesters and two classes during the final summer semester. Although students occasionally elect to complete the degree on a part-time basis over two years. Part-time students must take their classes during the daytime because courses typically are not offered in the evenings or on weekends.
The program offers three tracks of specialization - Accounting and Auditing; Information Systems Auditing and Control (ISAC) and U.S. Federal Income Taxation.
Irrespective of the specialization chosen, all MAcc students must complete certain general requirements. |
