A team of BGSU students placed 2nd in the world at the Annual Student Case Competition at the APICS International Conference in Kansas City. Our APICS (Association for Operations Management) team analyzed a case involving the popular Wii Gaming system and presented findings to a panel of judges.
The winning team, pictured above, who competed in Kansas City included:
- Darcy Manjabosco Filho
- Craig Good
- Darren DeMange
- Amanda Braddock
- Kyle Chesser
The BGSU student team took first place at the Great Lakes District Case Competition last spring which allowed the team to move on to international competition. Students David Howard and Dave Foley were part of the winning APICS team in the spring, but they have since graduated from BGSU.
In addition to the team competing at the conference, five other BGSU students were invited to participate in the APICS Scholars program. This valuable program allows students to network with top professionals in operations management and to learn more about the industry.
APICS advisor Ms. Karen Eboch, management department, traveled with the BGSU students to Kansas City where she was also presented the APICS top chapter mentor award.
