STEVE CADY AWARDED FOR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Outstanding community outreach by one of the College’s dedicated faculty members has earned him a BGSU President’s Award. Dr. Steven Cady, associate professor in the management department, was presented the Recognition for Community Involvement award because of his dedication and enthusiasm for helping area organizations devise strategies for change. Dr. Cady’s selfless community involvement includes helping organizations such as the Catholic Diocese of Toledo and the Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio, often times free of charge. He provided his expertise to help organizations define their vision and identify goals, then develop strategies to reach them. This award is given to a faculty member who not only is involved in the community, but also provides a service that enhances the relationship between the University and the community. This emphasis on community involvement is also brought into the classroom to benefit student learning.
