Supply Chain Management Institute

Created for a more focused and efficient effort to connect with businesses, the Supply Chain Management Institute (SCMI) builds relationships and fosters excellence in supply chain education and practices.

Established in 2000 within the Department of Management, the Institute has strengthened the undergraduate supply chain program and has played a role in BGSU’s supply chain program being one of the top programs in the country.

The Institute has attracted well-known companies to join as members. Representatives from the member companies come to campus and provide input to the faculty on curriculum guidance and network with faculty on research project. Companies also have the chance to talk to students about career opportunities with their companies and real world experiences.

The Institute is active in hosting events:  semi-annual meetings and roundtable discussions, centering on supply chain issues facing businesses today.
