Kovacs

Judy Kovacs is Vice President & Category Manager for the IVC Products at Invacare Corporation.  She began her career at Invacare in 1989 in the Financial Service Department.  In 1993, she entered into the Sales & Marketing Division, as director of Corporate Pricing and Contracting.  In this role, she was instrumental in developing the new EDLP pricing strategy implemented for the company in 1995.

In 1999, Judy moved over into the role of Vice President Customer Service.  During this role, she created the inside sales department that was responsible for growing the small account business by 15% over the next two years.  In addition, she established the National Service Center Network that provided services to consumers through out the country.

In 2002, Judy took her first position in General Management.  As Vice President and General Manager of the Invacare Service & Parts Division, she was responsible for centralizing the business and developing a long term strategy for profitability and growth.  Judy held this position until May of 2005 when she assumed her current position.

Judy earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in 1982 and her Masters of Business Administration in 1992 from Ashland University.  She has two children, Joseph, a sophomore at Tiffin University and a daughter, Katie, a freshman at Bowling Green State University.

Over the years, this “tri-alogue” has allowed for idea interchange among the three groups promoting discussion of new curricula and teaching techniques, as well as the business interview, hiring, and job expectations of both students and industry.

The Council meets twice each academic year with faculty and, for many years, has hosted Student Career Panels, which provide a forum for answering student questions, offering candid advice, and beginning networking contacts.

Providing guidance and expertise, the Council benefits both our students and our faculty.
