Students Get Hands-On Learning Through Real-World Project
Learning about business is enhanced when students get the chance to work on real-world projects for companies. This type of hands-on learning was part of MGMT 3300 (Supply Management I), taught by Dr. Janet Hartley, where students worked with Jim Kisthardt, senior sourcing manager at MACtac to develop supply scorecards. MACtac, whose headquarters for the Americas is in Stow, Ohio, designs and produces pressure sensitive solutions for a range of markets. Mr. Kisthardt visited class to discuss MACtac and the goals and requirements for its supply scorecard. Students then worked on the project throughout fall semester and presented their final scorecards to Mr. Kisthardt. This was a great opportunity for student learning!
