Dr. Gremler's Article Identified as One of the Most Influential over 40 Years
The article identifies those articles that have received the most citations, ranging from 800 to 4,500, and reports that the list of authors/co-authors signify "today's thought leaders in marketing." Dr. Gremler, a Fulbright Scholar and world renowned for his services marketing expertise, was also named in 2011 as a Master Teacher by the Marketing Management Association (MMA) and received the 2009 Academy of Marketing Science Outstanding Marketing Teacher award. In addition to the BGSU Department of Marketing being named as one of the top producers of marketing research, now an article co-authored by one of the College's marketing professors has been identified as one of the most influential over the past 40 years of marketing research. Dr. Dwayne Gremler co-authored an article entitled "Relational benefits in services industries: The customer's perspective" that was ranked number 7 among the top 10 most cited articles since 1971. This recognition was a result of research reported in an article, "A tribute to forty years of top-level marketing research," published by the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS), November 2011.
